Updated from my home at Araçoiaba da Serra, a tiny village in Southeastern Brazil. It’s close to 40°C and the air is completely still.

Neurodivergence

For the past few weeks, I’ve been talking a lot about neurodivergence with one of my good friends. He listed some of the features shown by people that score low in the autistic scale, and it really piked my interest.

During my childhood, I’ve always felt I was different from my peers, but couldn’t exactly put my finger on it. After reading about autism in childhood, I had an instant “a-ha” moment. It just made all the sense in the world as it explained a lot of the social struggles I dealt with (and still do).

I’m truly considering getting an specialized diagnostic.
